If you need help finding out where the problems lie, have a friend/ colleague who wasn’t involved in the designing process take a look and point out some issues they have. You could also try looking at the designs from a customer’s point of view.
- Follow Your Interests
Without any interests, it’ll be hard to improve your designing. Ask yourself what kind of designs you like and how can you improve yourself in those fields. If you are serious about improving, there is all types of educational stuff on the internet, from free video lectures to full-fledged college degrees.
- Make a list

- Narrow down the list
It is highly possible that you will end up with a list that is almost impossible to cover in the next 6-7 months. What you need to do is, start from the bottom and remove entries from the list until only those topics remain that you can cover in the next 6 months.
- Make the Worst Design Possible
Learning something new and then trying to use that knowledge to build something only a pro could is impossible. What’s important is that you get started.
Start out by building the worst design possible. Once you have that, try improving every single aspect of that design. Review and try again. And remember, it’ll help if you get someone else’s opinion too.
